The short version: Napwell stores your baby's sleep and feeding data to provide the app's features. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. Only your family members can see your data.
Who we are
Napwell is a baby sleep and feeding tracking application. References to "Napwell," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to the Napwell app and its operator. You can contact us at napwellapp@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when using the app:
- Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Baby information: Your baby's name and date of birth, used to provide age-appropriate sleep predictions and AI insights.
- Tracking data: Sleep events (wake and sleep times), feeding logs (bottle amounts, breastfeeding duration, solids), notes, and growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference, percentiles) that you log in the app.
- Device information: Push notification token, used to send you notifications about logged events from other caregivers in your family.
We do not collect location data, contacts, camera access, or any data beyond what is needed to operate the app.
How we use your information
- To provide sleep predictions, feeding tracking, and growth records within the app
- To sync data in real time between caregivers in your family group
- To generate AI-powered weekly insights about your baby's sleep and feeding patterns
- To send push notifications when a caregiver in your family logs an event
- To respond to support requests
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose other than operating the Napwell app.
Who can see your data
Your data is private to your family group. Only people you have invited to your family using your unique 6-character invite code can see your baby's tracking data. We do not share your data with other Napwell users or any third parties, except as described below.
Third-party services
Napwell uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — Database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Expo / Expo Push Notifications — Used to deliver push notifications to your device. Expo Privacy Policy
- Google Firebase / FCM — Used for push notification delivery on Android devices. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Anthropic — AI provider used to generate weekly insights. Summaries of your baby's sleep and feeding patterns (no personally identifying information beyond your baby's age) are sent to Anthropic's API to generate insights. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Buy Me a Coffee — Optional tip jar feature. If you choose to use this feature, you will be directed to Buy Me a Coffee's platform, which has its own privacy policy.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Napwell is designed for use by parents and caregivers (adults aged 18 and over). The app tracks data about infants and toddlers, but is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Data security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on our database ensuring each family can only access their own data, and secure token-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data (available via the CSV export feature in Settings)
To delete your account and data, use the "Delete account" option in the app's Settings, or contact us at napwellapp@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
